Blog Tour: Meant to Be Mine by Becky Wade

My Rating: 4 of 5 Stars

About Meant to Be Mine:
Ty Porter has always been irresistible to Celia Park. All through high school---irresistible. When their paths cross again after college---still irresistible. This time, though, Ty seems to feel exactly the same way about Celia. Their whirlwind romance deposits them at a street-corner Las Vegas wedding chapel.
The next morning they wake to a marriage certificate and a dose of cold reality. Celia's ready to be Ty's wife, but Ty's not ready to be her husband. He's a professional bull rider, he lives on the road, and he's long planned to settle down with the hometown girl he's known since childhood.
Five and a half years pass. Celia's buried her dreams so that she can afford to raise her daughter. Ty's achieved all of his goals. Or thought he had, until he looks again into the eyes of the woman he couldn't forget and into the face of the child he never knew he had.
How much will Ty sacrifice to win back Celia's trust and prove to her that their spontaneous marriage can still become the love of a lifetime?

My Thoughts:
When I first started this book, I almost didn't want to read past the first few pages. I was enjoying the stroy, don't get me wrong, I just didn't have faith that Becky Wade could make me like Ty Porter after the cruel way he abandoned Celia after begging her to marry him. I mean, how much of a jerk do you have to be to tell your wife the day after you marry her that you are in love with someone else? I did keep reading, though, and I'm happy I did.

Celia has given up her dreams of owning a bakery and instead is struggling to keep up with the bills as she raises her daughter. She has been doing a pretty wonderful job, with only the support of her uncle(who is hilarious, by the way!). Addie is such a sweet young girl, wise beyond her years and adorable all the same.

Celia is a strong woman, doing all she has to take care of Addie. She's almost stubborn in that sense, rarely even accepting help from her uncle. All of that is about to change, though. When Ty Porter finds out he has a daughter, he wants to be a part of her life and that pretty much changes everything.

I actually ended up loving this book. I feel like Ty redeems himself, and I feel like Celia does too. In this book you learn a valuable lesson in sacrificing things for those you love, and even more so you learn about forgiveness,  no matter how you were wronged. Such an inspiring book, I loved it from beginning to end. I honestly can't wait to read more books in the series, I have one Porter brother in particular in mind, who could do to find someone to bring him back to earth. I highly recommend this for fans of inspirational romance. You won't be disappointed!
