This book had me from the get go. I mean, Angels are amazing, white light, gorgeous wings, and pure and good as can be. Only.. not these angels. They're still beautiful, make no doubt about that. But, they're certainly not kind. These angels' planet is failing, so now they've turned to ours and are using the humans to feed off of. After which, the humans tend to become sick and mentally ill as well, thinking that the angels are good by some kind of sick brainwash, the Church of Angels is formed.

Willow is psychic, like really psychic. But, she doesn't know why. All she knows is her father messed her mother up pretty bad and she was forced to grow up pretty fast and was completely responsible for herself and her mother from the age of six. At the age of nine, she couldn't hide her mother's mental illness any longer. So, Willow and her mother are forced to live with Willow's aunt. Having been using her psychic abilities to do readings, she is asked to do one for a fellow classmate, Beth, which changes life as she knows it. She sees Beth being fed off by an angel, which sets off a chain of events that puts everything Willow's ever known to the test. Willow is a half-angel. But, does that really mean she could save the world?

Alex has been on his own for about two years, ever since the CIA took over the AK's(angel killers) and created Project Angel. But, he's been killing angels for even longer. Now, the order to kill angels comes via text. After doing this for so long, Alex doesn't even blink an eye when a text comes. But, his last text changes everything when it takes him to Willow's home. Half-angels shouldn't exist--she's an abomination. But... Alex can't help but be drawn to Willow. How are they going to keep safe when every Church of Angels member knows her face and wants her dead?

This book was a real page-turner, one I honestly had trouble putting down(who needs food or social interaction? I'm reading here!). I love the build up of a relationship between Alex and Willow, nice and slow-never rushed. What should definitely be expected considering she's half a different race, a race he wants gone from earth. I can't really say much more without giving away the book, but this was definitely one of the best fantasy/supernatural books I've read in a long while. A must read for a fan of either of those genres!
