Blog Tour: The Falling of Love by Marisa Oldham!

So happy to be participating in this blog tour for The Falling of Love  for my good friend Marisa Oldham. Y'all are seriously going to fall in love with this book before you even read it with all I've got in store for you today. First, let's all look at that fabulous cover above, I mean can you say gorgeous? Then below you'll find more about the book, an excerpt, teaser, book playlist, trailers, and a giveaway! So lots of fun -- I hope you enjoy!
About The Falling of Love:
You will never forget your first date, your first kiss, or your first love.
You'll also never forget how it felt when it was torn apart.
Seventeen-year old Grace Hathaway does not give much thought to falling in love, until the day that Ian Taylor, rebel and misfit walks into her math class. From their first conversation, Grace is mesmerized by Ian's charisma and rock star façade. Ian Taylor, a seventeen-year old kid from the wrong side of the tracks tries to ignore the feelings he has for Grace, but is captured by her caring, nonjudgmental personality from the moment they meet. Grace becomes Ian's everything and there is nothing he will not do for her. Hurting her was never part of his plan.
“The Falling of Love” will take you on a sweet, emotional journey of two young
adults falling in love for the first time, and then tear your heart apart when that
love is threatened by dishonesty and betrayal."

The Falling of Love is the first novel in a series of novels that will follow Grace
Hathaway's life and personal struggles. Everyone has a beginning to their story and an end...
This is the beginning of Grace's story.

Excerpt:
Ian lies with his head on Grace’s stomach. Entwining their fingers together, they lie in silence on her bed. They have been this way for hours and he wishes they could stay like this forever. Only an occasional “I love you” is shared between them. Thunder cracks in the sky and startles Grace. Ian chuckles and pulls her closer to his body. The rhythmic sound of the rain tapping against the rooftop and her comforting presence lures him into a state of pure relaxation, soothing his soul.
“I love the sound of the rain,” she says, as she traces the lines on his knuckle with the tip of her finger.
Ian raises his head to look into her eyes and smiles. “And I love you.”
Climbing on top of her, he lowers his lips to her neck. Grace lets out a heavy sigh that blows through his hair. Ian trails kisses down her neck, over her collarbone, and stops inches away from her lips. “Do you know that I love you, Gracie?”
“Yeah, I do, without a doubt.”
He kisses her. “I know you love me too, and it’s freaking amazing,” he says. “You know what I love?”
She smiles at him. “Me?”
He laughs. “Besides you. It’s something you do to me.”
She looks at him, puzzled. “What?”
“I love those soft, sweet kisses you give me on the cheek. It’s hands-down one of the best things you do to me.”
Grace brushes Ian’s long auburn hair out of his face and slowly leans into him. Her breath
hits his cheek and the tip of her nose brushes his skin. She gives him a very soft, sweet kiss on his cheek.
“Ah yeah, babe. That’s it. That’s what I love. It’s so sweet and tells me that you love me
without any words.” He reaches for her face and cups her chin in between his thumb and forefinger.
He pulls her face to his and sucks on her bottom lip. Gradually, he eases his tongue between her two lips and finds her eagerly awaiting his kiss.
“Do you know what I love, Ian?” she asks. Her words are a jumbled mess between Ian’s kisses.
“What, baby?” he says within a breath.
“I love kissing you. I could spend the rest of my life kissing only you. You’re the best kisser in the entire world.”

Playlist!
Who doesn't love a good book playlist? Ahuh, thought so! Here's the songs Marisa thinks are made for jamming out to while reading The Falling of Love!
1.  Parachute - She Is Love
I think this is a perfect song from Ian's point of view. The words are perfect.
I've been beaten down, I've been kicked around,
But she takes it all for me.
And I lost my faith, in my darkest days,
But she makes me want to believe.
2.  Koop Islands - Koop Island Blues
I'm not sure exactly what it is about this song, but every time I hear it I think of Grace and Ian.
I can see Grace swaying to this, singing, and thinking of Ian.
3.  Sara Bareilles - Gravity
There's a certain part of The Falling of Love where this song becomes so profoundly like Grace is feeling.
4.  Sarah McLachlan - Elsewhere
5.  Things From A Thief - Dirge
Not all the lyrics pertain to The Falling of Love, but the part of this song that I use in Ian's trailer, is perfect.
And I run
And I run
And I run from you
But the fear it beats over and over and over and over and over again
Yes over again
Storms all around me and under the ground
Keep your head up and out of the rain
Soon the spirit will rise and consume all our lies
But the whiskey we drink numbs the pain
6.  Things From A Thief - Disappointed You
7. Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle
Obvious reasons…
8.  Velvet Revolver - Fall To Pieces
Totally a song I can hear Ian singing.
9.  Skid Row - I'll Remember You
Perfect for Grace and Ian, especially Ian.
10.  Guns N' Roses - Don't Cry
11.  Bon Jovi - Never Say Goodbye

Release Day Blitz: Unforeseen Heartbeat by Maureen Mayer!

Release Date: February 24th 2014

About Unforeseen Heartbeat(Second Chances#2):
Used… Broken… Confused…
It only took one drunken mistake four years ago for Maddie Harrington to learn that when you fully give yourself over to a man, you should never expect anything in return. Since that night, her views on love have become distorted, believing men would only want her for the pleasure her body could bring them. She in turn finds herself hooking up with random guys but never keeps them around long enough to see if there could possibly be something more.

That is…until Hunter Bryant enters the picture.

When the handsome pre-med student shows up in the right place at the right time, captivating her with his stormy gaze, she immediately pushes him away, thinking he’s no different than any other guy. The deeper Hunter delves into her life, trying to break through her iron-clad walls, the more she begins to question whether she is truly capable of opening her heart up to another man.

Maddie soon finds herself forced to make a difficult decision, one that will forever change both of their lives. Will she shut Hunter out of her life for good, or will she finally open up her heart and allow herself the life she never dreamed she deserved?

Excerpt:
“Are you okay? Can you tell me if it hurts anywhere?”
His voice sounded like heaven, but my body still refused to cooperate and answer him. Why was he asking if I was hurt? I felt fine, other than the fact that I seemed to have lost all motor function and the ability to speak.
I started to get some feeling back in my arms and legs, and I felt my body cradled against another that was almost twice my size.
“Did he...did he touch you anywhere?”
Touch me? Who…? Oh he must have meant Tucker. What ever happened to Tucker? He was carrying me up the stairs, but I couldn’t remember much after that. Asshole must have left me up here alone.
“Please, Maddie, I need you to focus if you can. This is important. I need you to tell me if he touched you anywhere…inappropriately.” I could hear the concern painfully dripping from his voice, and to be honest, it was starting to scare me.
As the numbness subsided, and I regained more feeling throughout my body, I noticed a sharp pain shooting up my wrists as though they had been sprained. Jesus, what the hell happened to me?
My heart was beating rapidly, and I could feel myself beginning to hyperventilate, but then I felt lips, his lips, pressed against my throat, just over my racing pulse. His warm breath cascaded over my throat, causing my heart to race even faster, but soon my breathing matched his and I was able to calm myself.
“Better?” he asked softly.
“Yeah.” I finally peeled my eyes open to find a symbol that I had only ever seen in doctors’ offices tattooed on his forearm. It looked like a staff with wings, entwined by two snakes. Such an odd looking thing, and yet, I felt better knowing that the one whose arms I was currently wrapped up in bore that symbol…like he was my savior. My protector.
“Do you think you’re okay to stand?”
I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to ignore the pain in my wrists as I nodded my head. He gently tucked his arm beneath mine and wrapped it across my back, allowing me to place all of my weight on him. My body still swayed unsteadily, and seeing this stranger towering above me brought back the image of Tucker’s body hovering over me while he painfully pressed my wrists into the mattress. Oh fuck, what did he do to me?
My heart rate picked up again, and he cupped my face, focusing my attention on his stormy gray eyes and forcing away the fuzzy images that had yet to make any sense.
“Shhh, you’re okay. He can’t hurt you. You’re safe now.”
You’re safe now. Safe. I repeated those words over and over in my mind, and when they had finally sunk in, I opened my eyes one last time to look at him smiling down at me.  His lips looked so soft, and I reached up to trace my finger along his bottom lip, but my hand never made it there before I slipped back into the darkness.
