If you love creating in the kitchen, the Bountiful Blessings Cookbook is for you! Featuring hundreds of recipes—for main dishes, sides, desserts, and everything in between—that will surprise and delight for all seasons, this collection includes just the inspiration you need to create one simple dish or even a complete family feast!
Ever since I can remember, I've been spending quite a bit of time in the kitchen, both with my mother and my grandmother. The Bountiful Blessings Cookbook, contains many of the recipes I remember from one that my mom and grandmother were in for their church before I was even born. It gives you a great feeling of nostalgia to be able to see all of those old favorites, and several new favorites to boot! Yes, not all of the recipes in this book are the healthiest, but a little comfort food now and then is not a bad thing. Not to mention, many of the recipes within contained suggestions for healthy alternatives.
The recipe pages themselves are quite nice. The directions are all clear and concise making the steps easy to follow when trying out a new recipe. The only issue some may have is that the nutrition information is not listed. I didn't see an issue with this, though, as it's mostly a common sense thing based on the ingredients included.
Overall, I think my mom and I will get some use out of the recipes in this book, and I will definitely recommend this to any one wanting to go back to their roots for some really good home cooking!
**I received this cook book for review from the publisher via Netgalley, but it in no way affected my opinion!**
