I was so excited when I found this book on Amazon for free of all prices(now still a steal at $0.99), as the world the description built had me enraptured from the beginning. Then, the actual book took me in even more.

Alyx was an interesting choice for a main protagonist as she was so tiny and petite and yet she was this tough, brave lightwarrior. All of a sudden, she starts having these "visions" involving only one person- whom she later finds out is named Israel. But, Alyx starts to question everything when she realizes that Israel is human, and oh yeah, the Rogues who she'd always been taught were in league with the Darkened(demon possessed humans), may not all be so bad.

You really see Alyx become her true self as she shakes off the shackles she'd grown up in and becomes her own person and realizes that she has a right to choose the life she wants to live. I enjoyed this book from start to finish and am so surprised that this book isn't more popular, as Ms. Peach has definitely created an intriguing world that I can't wait to be a part of again. It is recommended that the reader be 16+ and I assume that is because of violence and mild sexual content. Either way, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a new world to dive into. One where right and wrong doesn't seem so black and white.
